WE ACT for Environmental Justice
West Harlem Environmental Action, Inc. (WE ACT for Environmental Justice) is a Northern Manhattan community-based organization whose mission is to build healthy communities by assuring that people of color and/or low-income participate meaningfully in the creation of sound and fair environmental health and protection policies and practices.
EcoViva (Advisory Board)
EcoViva works in partnership and solidarity with community-led organizations in Central America organized to achieve environmental sustainability, economic security, social justice and peace. Since its founding in 1996, EcoViva has supported a democratic movement for peace, justice and environmental sustainability in the Lower Lempa River Estuary and the nearby Bay of Jiquilisco Biosphere Reserve of El Salvador.
Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy
Founded in 1992, MHLC is an accredited nonprofit land trust dedicated to saving special places in Albany, Schenectady and Montgomery counties. MHLC has protected more than 3600 acres of land in the region including more than 1700 acres open to the public for recreation and reflection.
